I'm going to orlando next week!.
family trip, relax, roller coasters... awesome!
photos fo' sure!
I want to get my hands on a SLR and polaroid film for the trip...

2002 was the last time I was in florida. too bad my brother is not going to make it.

apparently my boss at work is into photograhy :) and collects old film cameras
I shot with his Minolta X-700, LOVE the manual focus and DOF on the viewfinder is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. the overall feeling is definitely different from digital
I want it!!

Which SLR should I get? I really liked the x700
what do you think?

PS: as you can see, I changed my profile page, again.
the uber player is a little bit more to the southeast–below the community buttons.

tho I will search for it first through second hand stores and garage sales, they are usually a bargain in those...

yeah I have to see... it's all about the prices.
eBay is goint to be my last resort...
my first stop are thrift stores and garage sales.
I'll be looking for nikon fm2, olympus om1/2 or minolta x700
thank you man.!!!

i use an olympus om-1. it's all manual, mechanic and has an amazing viewfinder. plus, it's small, lenses are cheap and it's quiet. one downer though...under poor lighting conditions it's hard to see the meter.

have fun in florida!

PS. the new design is rad!

Oh man florida, great times, UNIVERSAL AND DISNEY YO! Too fun for words, and the Minolta, damn that is one fine cam, totally loved it( it was a friends, that was the best day of my life, the camera was covered in cake icing by the end of the night) but the oldschoolness of that camera, gangsta fo realz, I think that the photos come out just wonderfully

wait, what do you usually shoot with anyway? :P

i think the minolta's good.
the photos are amazing, i have to agree.
it might not be the newest or tech-savyiest camera,
but it's a fun/cool/more than good enough cam to have. ;)
i love old film cams! i have a few myself, though they don't all work... hahaha

well, as of right now, i own two polaroids, one fisheye from lomography and canon 350D-which is what I mostly shoot with
yeah gotta love old school, they are certainly fun..
thanks for dropping by aurelia.
hope you get your post more of your work here in uber.!

Haven't used any Minolta SLR so I don't know how they perform but I would recommend the Nikon FM2 or FM3.
I got a FM2 myself and well it's lovely.
